In The United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Lusaka Presbytery’s shift from traditional methods of mobilising church funds for mission, it has launched Umodzi Investments, a newly registered company to spearhead all its investment activities. During the official event on 11 June, Lusaka Presbytery Bishop Rev. Dr Lordwell Siame spoke about the church’s need to expand its investment portfolio following the negative economic impact the pandemic has had on the church members. In addition, Dr Siame thanked the UCZ for providing the policy framework for church investment at all levels, while the UCZ Presbytery’s Investment Committee Convener Mr. Moses Nawa said that the company’s registration was a culmination of a wider consultation process that involved church members and leaders in the Presbytery.
