Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings from the Council for World Mission in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!
The Council for World Mission’s Training in Mission (TIM) programme has been one of the most impactful and longest-serving training programmes in the history of ecumenical and missional programmes. Started in September 1981, the TIM programme has reached a significant milestone of completing 40 years in September 2021. The Programme has trained over 400 committed young people over the years. Many of them are serving the churches, ecumenical organizations, and theological institutions as leaders today.
Beginning from September 2021, we have started a series of programmes to reflect on the journey so far, to thank God for the grace and wisdom, to gather the former participants and listen to their experiences, and to prepare for the journey ahead. These programmes will culminate with the “TIM 40 Celebratory Service”, which will be held online on Saturday, the 24 September 2022, at 6:00 PM Singapore Time.
Therefore, on behalf of the TIM 40 planning team, I cordially invite you all to join us in the celebratory service and praise God with us. This will be an opportunity to give thanks to God for the contributions of the TIM programme and to connect with the former TIM participants. So, please join us as we celebrate the faithfulness of God.
