The Church was initially known as LMS when the first LMS missionaries arrived in 1830. Since its independence in 1980, the CCCAS (EFKAS) has been established in the United States (mainland), Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia, besides American Samoa. With the 2016 General Assembly’s emphasis “To Be a Global Mission Church”, CCCAS seeks to assist and meet the needs of God's people and Creation in a timely and appropriate way.
